Pool Deck Pavers Cost (2026 Northeast Florida Guide)

Pool deck quotes confuse people because two decks of the same size can differ by ten thousand dollars — and both quotes can be fair. The size, the material, the coping, and whether the old surface comes out are four independent dials. Here’s how they combine in Northeast Florida in 2026.

The short answer

Deck typeInstalled priceTypical 800 sq ft deck
Standard concrete pavers$12–17 / sq ft$9,600–13,600
Premium paver lines$15–21 / sq ft$12,000–16,800
Travertine (tumbled, French pattern)$18–26+ / sq ft$14,400–20,800+
Overlay over sound cool-deck$10–15 / sq ft$8,000–12,000
New coping (add)$25–45 / linear ft+$2,000–3,600 (80 lf)

The four dials explained

  • Material. The spread between builder-grade pavers and premium travertine is the single biggest swing — see the travertine guide for whether it’s worth it (around a pool: usually yes if the budget allows).
  • Coping. The waterline border is priced per linear foot and replaced in most remodels. Bullnose travertine coping is the premium look; precast the value option.
  • Tear-out vs overlay. A sound existing deck may take an overlay and skip demolition entirely; a cracked or spalled one comes out at $2–4/sq ft.
  • The cage. Working inside a screen enclosure slows crews; enclosure footer details and (sometimes) temporary panel removal add labor.

Remodel note: sequence matters

If the pool itself is being resurfaced or re-tiled, do that first or together — deck crews and pool crews coordinate this constantly, and the wrong order means paying to protect (or redo) finished work. Any contractor we match you with will ask about pool work before quoting the deck; it’s a competence tell.
